Please share your thoughts with us! Wednesday, Nov. 11, is the due date for sharing your feedback on two important documents:
- The 2027 Policy Recommendations of Vermont’s Early Childhood State Advisory Council Network
- The AI Addendum to Vermont’s Early Childhood Strategic Plan
Each year, the Building Bright Futures Network brings together partners from across Vermont to identify the most urgent needs facing children and families. Grounded in Vermont’s Early Childhood Strategic Plan 2030 and informed by the best available data, the 2027 Policy Recommendations highlight gaps, emerging challenges, and opportunities for coordinated action. Families, service providers, and communities know their needs best, and we value your input.
The Strategic Plan is designed to be a living document. Since the unanimous endorsement of the Strategic Plan 2030 in November 2025, AI has advanced significantly, in ways we didn’t foresee a year ago, including within the early childhood system. This addendum uses the process built into the Strategic Plan to address AI, giving Vermont’s early childhood system and its partners a shared foundation for visioning, problem-solving, decision-making, testimony, and advocacy. It is not intended to presume or promote the use of AI. Instead, it offers a shared framework for evaluating AI wherever it is being considered or used.
If you have already submitted your feedback, thank you! The ideas you share will be taken into consideration, and the final versions of both documents will reflect the collective expertise and input of the Network.
