Join Us for Child Care Conversations This Fall

In fall 2025, Building Bright Futures convened community conversations to understand how Vermont’s early childhood system was functioning following the implementation of Act 76, Vermont’s child care law. Last fall’s conversations were among the richest input we gathered all year, and they feed straight into our Act 76 monitoring, shaping what we bring to policymakers.

This fall, we are excited to bring back our Child Care Conversations.

We’ll hold two virtual statewide conversations for families, providers, and other early childhood partners in the BBF Network:

  • Friday, Oct. 16, 10–11:30 a.m. (Register here)
  • Monday, Oct. 19, 6:30–8 p.m. (Register here)

And we’ll offer several in-person conversations geared toward early educators and other providers, including center-based directors and staff, family child care home providers, UPK coordinators, and school district staff:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6–7:30 p.m., Manchester Community Library, 138 Cemetery Ave., Manchester Center (Register here)
  • Thursday, Oct. 15, 6–7:30 p.m., Rutland County Parent-Child Center 2Gen Building, 16 Chaplin Ave., Rutland (Register here)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, 6–7:30 p.m., Bethany Church, 32 Main St.reet, Randolph (Register here)

At the in-person events, we’ll provide dinner and on-site child care, when requested. We’ll talk about what’s working for families, children, and providers related to Vermont’s child care system, what remains challenging, and what feels most urgent moving forward.

We hope you’ll join us!
