Regional Council Statewide Summit

Registration is open now for the 6th Annual BBF Statewide Regional Council Summit, an in-person event dedicated to addressing the adverse effects of substance misuse on children and families while planting seeds of hope for a healthier community. Registration is free.

We are delighted to welcome Jessica Lahey as our keynote speaker. Jessica is a celebrated teacher, writer, and mother whose work focuses on education, parenting, and child welfare. She has written for The Atlantic, Vermont Public Radio, and The New York Times, and is the author of the New York Times bestseller, The Gift of Failure. She has recorded a special introductory video for attendees and invites you to share your questions, concerns, or topics you’d like her to explore during her session by emailing her at [email protected].

The afternoon will consist of a panel discussion with statewide experts, moderated by Kerri Douquette-Hoffman, Field Services Director for Addison and Chittenden County for the Vermont Agency of Human Services.

Through insightful discussions and collaborative sessions, we aim to:

• Raise awareness of the effects of substance misuse on children and families
• Gain valuable knowledge from experts and individuals with lived experiences
• Access tools to break cycles of addiction and trauma, fostering supportive environments
• Strengthen connections among partners and professionals working to address these challenges
