State Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting

All are welcome to join us at the next State Advisory Council (SAC) meeting on Monday, Sept. 28, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. via Zoom. At the meeting, we will learn about two parts of the early childhood system currently in the process of redesign and improvement: Universal PreK joint administration and monitoring and the Coordinated Intake and Referral System. We’ll hear updates from members of Vermont’s federal delegation team on matters related to children and families.

Building Bright Futures State Advisory Council meetings are open to the public. They serve as a way for public and private partners who care about the well-being of children and families in Vermont to work together, using evidence to inform policy and decision-making, discussing critical challenges, and problem-solving.

At our Sept. 28 meeting, we will:

• Hear short presentations on changes to Universal PreK joint administration and monitoring and the Coordinated Intake and Referral System
• Discuss the opportunities these changes present
• Hear updates from representatives from the Offices of Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Peter Welch, and Representative Becca Balint about issues that relate to children and families
