State Advisory Council Meeting

Building Bright Futures State Advisory Council meetings serve as a critical convening of public and private partners working to improve the well-being of children and families in Vermont by using evidence to inform policy and decision-making, discussing critical challenges, and problem-solving. State Advisory Council (SAC) meetings are open to the public. This meeting will take place virtually on Zoom.

At our Jan. 26 meeting, we will: 

• Review the impact of Act 76 for families and providers and learn about ongoing monitoring activities related to the investment and policy changes in the child care law passed in 2023.
• Learn about the one-year Preschool Development Grant Birth Through 5 (PDG B-5) that was awarded to Vermont to strengthen the state’s early care and education system for young children and their families.
• Build alignment and collaboration across Regional Councils, the State Advisory Council, and Vermont’s Early Childhood Strategic Plan committees.
