Sharron Harrington serves as the Executive Director for Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC), which is the state’s largest membership organization for early childhood educators and an affiliate of NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
For more than twenty-five years, she has held diverse roles within Vermont’s early childhood education ecosystem at the local and state level, including as a literacy mentor for family child care home programs, early childhood educator, and Resource Development and Referral Specialist. Before joining VTAEYC, she was a Senior Programs Manager at Let’s Grow Kids, where she led a team focused on expanding child care capacity, improving quality, advocating for systems change, and strengthening the early childhood workforce.
